MCX Copper futures prices traded higher on global cues

The monitoring a strong world tendency, the prices of copper traded higher by 0.09% to 452.15 rupees per kg in futures trade today as speculators established new positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for November delivery traded higher by 40 paise, or 0.09 percent, to 452.15 rupees per kg in business volume of 2,030 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in February rose by the same margin to Rs 462.85 per kg in 86 lots.

The market analysts say new positions created by profiteers in conjunction with a firm world tendency as major metals world topped estimates consumer base of China’s trade data, mainly influenced the prices of copper in futures trading.
